Our team successfully replaced four medium voltage pad-mounted transformers—right in the heart of the Pittsburgh Zoo. This unique location brought some big challenges, from navigating a two-year equipment lead time to carefully coordinating power outages to avoid impacting animals, staff, and guests. Tight workspaces and strict safety protocols added to the complexity, but through detailed planning and strong teamwork, we completed the project without disrupting zoo operations. A rewarding experience and a true team effort!
