Merit Electrical Group is an authorized supplier in the Pennsylvania COSTARS™ Cooperative Purchasing program.
The COSTARS program provides registered and eligible local "Members" a variety of choices and the ability to leverage contracts to cost-effectively and efficiently identify contracted Suppliers with whom to do business. Pennsylvania Members purchase goods and services from PA COSTARS contracted Suppliers, giving Members competitive pricing and assurance that Suppliers have been thoroughly vetted and awarded contracts in their areas of expertise. The greatest benefit to Members is the elimination of the time and expense needed to hold a public bidding process.
The goals of the COSTARS Program are:
- To encourage, expand, and facilitate the opportunities for Members to achieve procurement savings and the best value through an interactive partnership with the Commonwealth.
- To provide increased opportunities for Suppliers of any size to participate and compete for Members' business.
- To provide contracts with competitive pricing.
Merit is a contract holder for COSTARS contract #08 - Maintenance, Repair and Operation Equipment & Supplies. We are able to provide and install electrical supplies and equipment, including lamps and ballasts, parking lot lights and poles, generators, switchgear, lighting controls, fire alarms and other systems, and much more.
